Beyond the core brass and woodwind services, the repair shop at Chick Music handles a wide range of instruments commonly found in school band programs and private studios across northeast Georgia. Whether a student brings in a dented trombone slide, a clarinet with sticky keys, or a saxophone in need of a full overhaul, the technicians take the time to assess each instrument thoroughly before recommending any work. Free estimates mean families can plan ahead without surprise costs, and the reasonable turnaround keeps students performing rather than waiting on the sidelines. The shop also coordinates with local schools to keep rental fleets and classroom instruments in steady playing condition throughout the academic year.
For musicians in the Athens area, knowing their instrument is in capable hands brings real peace of mind. The repair department pairs hands-on craftsmanship with honest communication, explaining what needs attention and why, so players of every level understand the care their gear receives. Beyond repairs, the team can advise on preventive maintenance, proper storage, and accessories that help instruments last longer between service visits. Whether you are a beginner renting your first trumpet or a seasoned player bringing in a vintage horn for restoration, the goal is the same: to have your instrument feeling responsive, sounding full, and ready for the next rehearsal, lesson, or performance.
